    In 2021, a 3rd version of the toy was released as a part of the Arena Max playset alongside a repaint of the Tank Chassis from the Build Your Own Bot line. In 2018, a 2nd version of the toy was unveiled that has been released alongside a somewhat updated Minotaur RC with a re-release of the BattleBots arena playset and individually. If the toy is not in use for roughly 30 seconds to a minute, the toy shuts off automatically. If you buy the toys separate from one another, or from the HEXBUG website, each one comes with their own special sticker that references the robot being replicated as a toy.

This version has been released early in some stores but available as of September 18th, 2018, complete with a 2-pack Rivals set with an updated Witch Doctor. A second prototype toy was revealed, still based on the 2015 version of Bronco but was later revised to become the 2018 version. The toy was initially scheduled for release in 2016 using the Season 1 design of Bronco but since it was unable to flip other Hexbug RC BattleBots toys at the Toy Fair, the toy's release was delayed and the flipper mechanism was redesigned to retract and now has a quicker release. In the case of Bronco, its front shields and rear wedge come off if hit hard enough. Much like the previous BattleBots toys, Bronco has pieces that come off to represent damage. It is a very accurate representation as it features Bronco's basic Season 3 design and working flipper. As part of a range planned to be released in 2018 by HEXBUG, Bronco is one of multiple robots in the RC Series.
